VR has promised productivity for years, but high resolution headsets and mixed reality are making the idea less silly than it used to be. A device like Meta Quest 3 512GB - Revolutionary Mixed Reality - Powerful Performance shows how far consumer hardware has come, especially for spatial apps, design reviews and virtual screens. Still, I wonder whether people really want to wear a headset for serious work or whether monitors remain the king of comfort
RTFM and then ask

VR is impressive for demos, but I still remove the headset after an hour and go back to monitors

For engineering reviews and 3D models, it can be genuinely useful. For email, no thanks

The comfort problem is not solved yet. Productivity needs all day usability, not wow factor

GreenEcho

I think mixed reality has a better chance than full VR because you are not completely sealed away
