Everyone's got one, a slightly unhinged script, a batch file nobody else understands, a spreadsheet macro held together by hope. Until it actually breaks, it exists as both a genuinely elegant solution that saves you real time every day, and a fragile house of cards one software update away from collapsing entirely

The tricky part is you usually can't tell which one it actually is until the exact moment it fails, by which point it's already too late to have documented it properly
