Apple is under fresh criticism after changes to its iPad repair policies reportedly made independent servicing more difficult. Repair advocates claim parts pairing and software restrictions continue pushing users toward official channels instead of local repair shops.

The whole right to repair debate keeps getting bigger because consumers are tired of expensive replacements for relatively minor faults. Tech companies say tighter controls improve security and reliability, but many users just see more barriers and higher costs.

Right to repair should honestly be law everywhere
Football is life. Everything else is just details.

Some restrictions probably do stop bad repairs though
