Why does my drawing tablet feel laggy when I am sketching?

I recently got into digital art but my drawing tablet feels slightly delayed when I draw fast lines. It makes sketching frustrating. Is this normal or is there something I should upgrade?

Some of it is software but cheaper tablets can struggle. I upgraded to Huion H610 Pro V2 Graphic Drawing Tablet and the difference was noticeable.

Driver issues can cause lag too but hardware matters. Wacom tablets like Wacom Intuos Graphics Drawing Tablet tend to be more consistent.

Check your PC performance as well. If your system is struggling the tablet will feel worse than it actually is.

I had lag until I updated drivers and switched to a better tablet. It is a mix of both hardware and setup.
