I feel like I am doing everything right with focus but my photos still come out slightly blurry, especially indoors or in low light. Is this a settings issue or do I need extra gear to fix it?

Sounds like motion blur more than focus. I had the same issue and a tripod like Amazon Basics 60-Inch Lightweight Tripod made a huge difference for me.

Low light usually means slower shutter speeds so even tiny hand movement ruins the shot. I fixed it with a basic tripod and also added a small light like UBeesize LED Video Light Kit.

I tried cranking ISO but that just made things noisy. Stabilizing the camera helped way more than tweaking settings alone.

Tripod plus a remote shutter or timer helps a lot. Once I stopped handholding in low light my photos got way sharper.
