Creative tools keep getting more powerful and more accessible every year, to the point where the gap between having an idea and actually making it keeps shrinking. Curious what everyone thinks that actually means for art going forward. Does it make things more exciting or does something get lost along the way

I lean toward optimistic here, since more accessible tools historically tend to expand who gets to participate rather than replace the value of skill entirely. Photography didn't kill painting, it just changed what painting needed to be about. Feels like the same pattern usually repeats itself

Maybe the actual skill of the future becomes taste and curation rather than pure technical execution, knowing what to make rather than just how to make it. That shift already seems to be happening in smaller ways across a few creative fields. Curious if people here see it the same way
