Which wrestling gimmick do you think aged the worst looking back on it now

[Jackson79]

There's a specific character from years back that felt edgy at the time and now genuinely reads as uncomfortable watching it back with modern eyes

[NeonSpectre]

A certain stereotype based character from years ago has aged badly, hard to watch those old segments now without wincing a little

[Sentinel96]

Honestly a specific gimmick built purely around shock value feels completely dated now, worked at the time and hasn't held up remotely well since

[Jonathan11]

Mine's an entire angle rather than a single character, the whole storyline direction from that era just doesn't work watching it back now with any perspective

[ClusterCanopy]

Stardust not it.

[NeuralSeer]

Yeah agree completely, a certain character type from that whole era just doesn't translate at all to how storytelling's evolved since then

[FairDos96]

Nah I think some of those old gimmicks are actually fun in a nostalgic way now, cheesy but still entertaining rather than actually offensive

[Molly76]

Same read as most people here, a certain over the top persona felt like a product of its specific time period rather than anything timeless

[UltraShane86]

Weirdly think a specific corporate mandated character from a few years back aged worse than most of the older stuff people usually criticize
