AEW president Tony Khan has confirmed that Anna Jay, who debuted with the promotion in 2019 and returned to AEW television in May 2026, has signed a contract extension with the company despite currently being sidelined by an injury. Jay's last televised appearance came on AEW Collision on June 6, 2026, and she underwent an MRI evaluation in the week leading up to Khan's announcement about her contract status.

Khan directly addressed speculation that had been circulating about Jay's future with the promotion, stating that much reported information about her status was inaccurate, and confirming instead that Anna is somebody who is also in good standing with AEW and also has a lot of time left and has extended her contract with AEW. Khan emphasised that despite the ongoing injury, her position within the organisation remains secure regardless of how long her recovery ultimately takes.
