SummerSlam 2026 full card preview, here's everything locked in for the two-night Minneapolis show

WWE's SummerSlam returns for a second consecutive year as a two-night event, taking place August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, with reports suggesting the final card will land somewhere between 12 and 13 matches split across both nights, similar in scale to last year's show. As of this week nine matches were officially locked in, with WrestleVotes on Fightful Select reporting that up to four more are still being finalized in the days leading up to the event

The two marquee title matches anchor the card, CM Punk defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes after their tag team partnership fell apart into a personal rivalry following Punk's title win over Sami Zayn earlier this month, and Roman Reigns defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins, a rivalry with real history given the two were Shield brothers together over a decade ago. Brock Lesnar faces Oba Femi in a Hell in a Cell match settling a score after the pair traded wins at WrestleMania 42 and Clash in Italy, and Liv Morgan defends the Women's World Championship against IYO SKY

The women's division gets a historic addition too, a five way ladder match crowning WWE's first ever main roster interim champion after Rhea Ripley's meniscus tear ruled her out, featuring Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair, Chelsea Green and either Giulia or Lash Legend depending on how qualifying plays out. The United States Championship picture remains a genuine three way race between champion Trick Williams, Carmelo Hayes and a returning Baron Corbin after an inconclusive finish on SmackDown left the story open, and a six woman tag match between Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Paige against Fatal Influence rounds out another confirmed addition, coming together quickly after Brie Bella beat Lainey Reid in singles action

Beyond the in ring card, SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis is reportedly returning to the ring for the first time in three years as part of a separate ongoing angle with Gunther, and Penta successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship picture by teaming with his SummerSlam opponent Chad Gable against Rusev and Ethan Page on go home programming. With Punk versus Rhodes, Reigns versus Rollins and Lesnar versus Femi in Hell in a Cell all headlining a stacked two night show, this is shaping up to be one of the more loaded SummerSlam cards in recent years even before the final few matches get confirmed
