The go home SmackDown for Money in the Bank came from Lafayette on Friday, and Sports Illustrated has the full results. Every ladder match entrant was on the show, as promised. The big surprise was a title change. Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley beat Fatal Influence to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship for the first time, with Paxley pinning Reid with a Cemetery Drive

Paxley was only in the match because of chaos backstage. Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab attacked Charlotte Flair, and Flair was not cleared to compete. Nick Aldis postponed Flair's own match and banned anyone from interfering at ringside. Bliss and Paxley as a team is an odd pairing on paper, which is probably why it works

The main event saw Trick Williams face Bron Breakker in a match booked by Adam Pearce. It ended with a disqualification win for Williams when The Vision interfered. Bronson Reed then flattened Williams with a Tsunami as the show went off the air. With both men in the men's ladder match, that sets up plenty of tension for Saturday

There was a lot more going on. Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend and Jacy Jayne won a six woman tag, but Legend turned on her partners afterwards. The MFTs beat the War Raiders with help from Haku, and Gunther attacked Danhausen before their match even started, then went after Finn Balor when he made the save. Cody Rhodes attacked The Miz and Kit Wilson and demanded a match with Randy Orton, while R-Truth returned to attack Damian Priest

Sami Zayn also got involved in the briefcase talk. He argued with CM Punk and Kevin Owens and told them that neither of them is going to grab that briefcase. With Zayn's Undisputed title as the likely target for any SmackDown winner, he has good reason to worry. All of this was before Hurricane Isaias, which was still threatening the New Orleans area as we discussed the other day

Did the title change surprise you? And does Lash Legend's turn make her a stronger pick for the briefcase?

Bliss and Paxley winning gold was a lovely surprise. Paxley has been weird and wonderful for months, and Bliss suits that kind of character perfectly

A title change right before a big show always gets attention. I hope they get a decent run. The women's tag division needed a shake up. Fatal Influence will want a rematch soon
