AEW has the kind of roster where tournaments can work well, because match quality is rarely the problem. A good tournament gives wrestlers direction, makes rankings feel more meaningful, and creates natural stories through each round. The danger is that too many tournaments can start to feel like filler if the winner does not get a real push afterwards

AEW tournaments are usually good in the ring, but the winner needs to matter after the final. That is where the booking sometimes gets shaky

I like tournaments because they give underused wrestlers a reason to be on television without needing a complicated storyline

The brackets should tell a story. Upsets, rivalries, injuries, and rematches can all make a tournament feel bigger

A tournament is only as good as the prize at the end. If the title shot or push feels secondary, people stop caring
Question everything. Especially this.
