Professional wrestling is storytelling through athletic performance. Some wrestlers are incredible athletes with no charisma. Some have tremendous character work with less athletic ability. The best combine both. What makes a match actually work? Is it the storytelling? The athleticism? The crowd energy? Some matches are technically perfect and boring. Others are chaotic and captivating. The psychology of wrestling (how wrestlers tell story through movement) matters more than move difficulty. A well-executed simple suplex gets bigger reaction than a botched complex move. What makes you engaged in a match?

Good storytelling through the match. Wrestler A targets leg wrestler B limps. That story making physical sense
