Will Ospreay is still AEW World Champion after surviving the company's first ever Clockwork Carnage match at WrestleDream in Orlando. Wrestling Inc's Max Everett reports that Ospreay drew the number one entry, meaning he had to face every single challenger

The field was stacked. Konosuke Takeshita, Mike Bailey, Ricochet, Darby Allin, Kazuchika Okada, Adam Copeland and Samoa Joe all took their shot. After the gauntlet stage came a 15 minute falls count section, similar to an Iron Man match, where the most falls would decide the champion

There were plenty of big moments. Samoa Joe submitted Ospreay with the Coquina Clutch, and Darby Allin pinned him with a Coffin Drop. Copeland speared Ricochet through a table and nearly won the title after spearing Okada

In the final seconds, Ospreay hit Copeland with a Hidden Blade to score the deciding fall. Afterwards, Copeland shook Ospreay's hand and pulled him close, hinting that he wants another shot. Copeland announced this week that he will retire next year, so time is running out

It sounds like a chaotic and creative main event that played to AEW's strengths. Ospreay looks stronger than ever after surviving that field. A singles match with Copeland before he retires would be special

Did Clockwork Carnage work as a concept? And should Copeland get one last world title shot?
