The indie wrestling scene just got a significant shake-up with news that several promotions are pooling resources to create a unified ranking system and inter-promotional tournament structure This could genuinely change how wrestlers navigate their careers and give smaller promotions legitimate paths to exposure That said, there's real concerns about whether this benefits actual wrestlers or just the promotion owners

Historically these collaborative efforts sound great on paper but fall apart when money gets involved or a big name wants to jump to better-funded company The tournament structure sounds exciting but if it's just a way for established promotions to gatekeep rising talent then it's pointless Actually though, if it forces promotions to pay fairly and create sustainable contracts then it could legitimately elevate the entire ecosystem

Would be fascinating to see if this opens doors for wrestlers outside the usual major promotions or if it just reinforces the existing hierarchy Only time will tell really, but the intent seems solid at least

This is either the best thing for indie wrestling or a complete disaster, no middle ground
