Ilja Dragunov beats Mike Bailey in his AEW Dynamite debut

[QuoteMiner22]

Ilja Dragunov's AEW in ring career is off to a winning start. Fightful's Skylar Russell reports that Dragunov beat Mike Bailey in the main event of Wednesday's Dynamite at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida

Dragunov won with two of his trademark D-Bombs, one onto the knee and one onto the head, before pinning Speedball. It was his first singles victory since he beat The Miz on SmackDown in January

The rest of the card was busy. Mark Davis and Jake Doyle beat The Young Bucks in a tag title eliminator, and Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher beat Will Ospreay and Adam Copeland. Jay White and Orange Cassidy beat Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia, and Jon Moxley beat Roderick Strong in a Continental title eliminator

There were big angles too. Steven Borden returned and called out the Don Callis Family for a Blood and Guts match, and Marina Shafir, with Moxley alongside her, interrupted Mercedes Mone

Dragunov against Bailey sounds like exactly the kind of hard hitting match AEW fans hoped for. Bailey is a great opponent for a debut because he makes everyone look good. It was a strong start to Dragunov's new chapter

How was Dragunov's AEW debut? And who should he face next?
