WWE Money in the Bank is set for Saturday 10 October at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, but the weather may have a say, Athlon Sports reports. Hurricane Isaias was an 85mph storm at the National Hurricane Center's 1pm Central update on Thursday. It is forecast to peak near 110mph on Friday and make landfall late Friday or early Saturday on the Alabama coast near the Florida line. The NHC said it is expected to remain a dangerous hurricane through landfall

As of Thursday afternoon, WWE had announced no change to the show. Friday's SmackDown at the Cajundome in Lafayette is also still going ahead. Parts of the New Orleans area are under tropical storm and storm surge warnings, with a surge of three to five feet forecast near the mouth of the Mississippi River. Lafayette is outside the warning areas, which helps the go home show at least

There are already knock on effects. Cricket Wireless cancelled IYO SKY's Friday meet and greet at its store in Gretna, Louisiana, citing severe weather. Delta has issued a travel exception for 9 and 10 October. Athlon also points out that WWE postponed a SmackDown at the same venue after Hurricane Ida in 2021, so there is precedent for changes

If the show goes ahead, the plans are now clearer. SEScoops, citing a WrestleVotes source speaking to Fightful Select, says Roman Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight is expected to close the show. There was a brief discussion about ending with the men's ladder match instead, but Knight against Reigns is currently set to go on last. Knight earned the shot by attacking Reigns after Raw in Mexico City on 14 September

The reported creative favourites for the briefcases are Penta and Bron Breakker in the men's match, and Roxanne Perez and Lash Legend in the women's. An idea of Trick Williams winning was floated at one point, while CM Punk and Kevin Owens are seen as unlikely winners. WWE apparently wants to keep the SmackDown storyline of six to eight stars chasing Sami Zayn's Undisputed WWE Championship, which Zayn won from Punk on 11 September. All the ladder match entrants appear on the go home SmackDown in Lafayette

Do you think Money in the Bank goes ahead as planned? And who are you backing for the two briefcases now?
