A championship belt has to do a lot of visual work in a single object, it needs to look valuable enough to fight over, distinctive enough to be instantly recognizable on a poster, and durable enough to survive years of being slammed on canvas and carried through crowds

At the top of a rough ranking sit belts that became genuinely iconic on their own, recognizable even to people who don't follow the specific promotion. In the middle sit the perfectly serviceable designs that look fine but rarely get discussed on their own merits. At the bottom sit designs so cluttered or generic looking that fans actively campaigned for the promotion to change them

Drop your own pick for the best or worst championship design you can think of, and make the case for exactly where it lands
