AEW Dynamite's viewership fell sharply this week, PWTorch reports. The show moved to Tuesday on TBS for the Grand Slam France episode and averaged 495,000 viewers across just over two hours. That is down more than 400,000 from the week before. The previous week's figure was unusually high for a sad reason

That episode was a tribute to the late Pac, and it averaged 899,000 viewers. It was Dynamite's best number in years and well above the previous 2026 high of 796,000. Fans clearly came out to pay their respects. Comparing any normal episode with that one was always going to look bad

The fairer comparison is with the weeks before the tribute. Over the ten weeks before that show, Dynamite averaged 686,000 viewers. So this week's 495,000 is still a big drop, but the move to Tuesday and the European tape will explain part of it. Viewers often miss shows when they shift nights

The 18 to 49 demographic tells a similar story. The Tuesday show drew a 0.11 rating, half the tribute episode's 0.22 and below the ten week average of 0.13. Wade Keller also points out that streaming on HBO Max is not included in these figures. That viewing is not tallied independently or published, so the real audience may be a bit higher

Grand Slam France had some good matches on it, including Ospreay against Okada, which we talked about earlier in the week. It is a shame the audience did not follow it to Tuesday. AEW has a lot riding on WrestleDream and Clockwork Carnage coming up. Getting viewers back to the regular night is the priority now

How much do you read into one week's ratings? And do you watch AEW live, on HBO Max or not at all these days?
