What did you get up to this weekend?

Here is a simple thread for the Social board. Weekends go by far too quickly, and it is nice to hear what everyone has been up to. Some of us pack them with plans, while others do as little as humanly possible. Both approaches are perfectly valid

It does not need to be exciting. A walk, a takeaway, a football match, a family visit, a lie in or an afternoon on the sofa with a film all count. Good weekends, bad weekends and weekends where the washing machine broke are all welcome. Sometimes the disasters make the best stories

Mine has been fairly quiet. Saturday was a long walk along the river while the autumn colours are at their best, followed by a pub lunch that was bigger than planned. Today has mainly been odd jobs around the house, and I am now putting off the ironing by writing this post. The ironing will probably win eventually

If this thread works, we can keep it going every week. It is a nice way to get to know each other a bit better beyond the usual topics. Photos are welcome too, if you took any
