Made elaborate summer plans three months ago. Everyone was going to visit. We'd do camping road trips the works. Now it's June and half the group cancelled. One person got a work emergency. Another decided to save money. I'm sitting here with a partially booked Airbnb and flexible dates that work for nobody. This happens every year. Why do we keep pretending summer will be the one where everything aligns? Maybe the lesson is embrace the spontaneous small plans instead of trying to orchestrate elaborate group trips. Solo camping might be more fun anyway.

This is so relatable it hurts. Summer plans have like 40% execution rate in my friend group. We've accepted it.

The trick is plan for smaller groups. Big group trips require too much coordination. Two or three people plus backup plan actually works
Normal is overrated

Solo camping sounds great honestly. You can do whatever you want on your schedule. No compromises
