Kids make friends by sitting next to each other. Adults make friends through... what? Work friends aren't real friends because employment is temporary. Bar friends are surface level. Hobby groups sometimes work if people actually bond not just share activity. Why is adult friendship so hard? Partly because everyone's tired. Partly because you're selective about who you spend time with. Partly because people move away and relationships require maintenance. Everyone complains about this. Nobody has solved it. What actually works? What friendships have you made after age 25?

Hobby groups work if you stick with them long enough. Go consistently and eventually you know people well enough to be friends
VAR can do one

Work friendships are real if you actually spend time together outside work. But you're right they're fragile
