I've seen completely different advice on this.

Some people feed once a day, others say twice is better. Then there are people doing all sorts of custom schedules.

Does it actually make a difference or is it just preference?

Trying to figure out what's best long term rather than just following random advice

Most vets recommend twice a day from what I've seen.

It helps with digestion and keeps energy levels more stable.

That said, some dogs do fine on once a day. I think consistency matters more than the exact schedule

She still talked to the thermostat. Not to change the temperature. The temperature had set itself for eleven years, since the house learned her. She talked because it was the only thing left that had known her husband. It remembered the seventeen degrees he'd always kept it at in winter. She kept it lower now. The thermostat remembered anyway.
