Opening weekend used to feel like an event. You would see the posters, catch the trailer, hear people talking, and feel like you had to be there before spoilers started floating around.

Now I think a film needs a stronger reason to pull people out immediately. Big visuals help, but so does genuine curiosity. Sometimes it is the director, sometimes the cast, sometimes just a concept that feels fun enough to experience with a crowd.

What makes you watch a film as soon as it comes out instead of waiting?
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Spoilers are a big reason for me. If it is a major film, I would rather see it before the internet ruins it

A director I trust can get me there opening weekend. The cast matters less to me

Horror is best early because the crowd reactions are better before everyone knows the scares

I only rush out for films that feel like they benefit from a big screen
My team is always one signing away

Good reviews from normal viewers matter more to me than critic scores
Still figuring it all out

Hmm, not convinced. That is just how it is.

Thanks for that
