Something I have been wanting to recommend for a while.

Real answers from people here are usually more useful than search results.

Any caveats or things to watch out for would be just as useful as a straight recommendation.

Happy to share more detail if it helps
Be excellent to each other

ElPresidente

Sorted it the same way. Worth doing it properly rather than rushing it

Kev94

I thought that at first but it changed after a few hours. Multiplayer games live or die on whether the people you play with are decent.

Might go back to it

CodyRhodes99

That actually makes sense to me. It is the kind of thing where the more you dig the more complicated it gets.

That is genuinely useful

GameChanger

I am always wary when something sounds amazing at first glance. Most people just accept the standard rate and wonder why they are not getting ahead.

I will keep an eye on it

Sophie83

Hmm, I found different. Makes sense from what I have seen.

Useful to know

DarkEnergy27

Worked for me too. I track these things on a spreadsheet so I know when something actually expires.

Not a life changer but it adds up

Jeffy

Same here tbh. Worth a try if you get the chance

Paige_68

That is the nuanced version of it. It is the kind of thing that rewards sitting with it rather than reacting immediately.

There is a lot more to say about this
Forum veteran. Battle hardened.

IronWolf

I love the way you put that. There is a lot more to say about this
It's not a bug, it's a feature

Owen84

That is about where I am at. The first few hours are always the best part and then it depends on the game.

Might go back to it

Teal Sparrow

If I had to pick one film everyone should watch at least once, I'd go with The Shawshank Redemption.

Not because it's flashy or complex, but because it just quietly builds this really powerful story about hope and patience. It's one of those films that hits differently depending on where you are in life
Somewhere between inspired and overwhelmed

CosmicRay17

I think people should watch The Green Mile once.

It's long, but it builds emotional weight in a way that really sticks with you

BigDogShane10

A more modern pick could be Everything Everywhere All at Once.

It's chaotic, but it somehow ties everything together emotionally by the end
It's only banter... mostly

Tara_66

Final pick from me would be The Sixth Sense.

Even if you already know the twist, it's still a great example of narrative construction and atmosphere

RainyDayFund

Unpopular opinion: not everyone needs to watch the same "great films" list.

But if I had to choose one, I'd say The Social Network, because it says a lot about modern ambition and technology culture

TheLegendJohn32

I'd say everyone should watch Casablanca once.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL97A38807B49520EE

It's one of those films where the dialogue alone carries so much weight that you don't really need anything else flashy
It's only banter... mostly

Foundry20

I'd argue everyone should watch 12 Angry Men.

No CGI, no massive set pieces, just dialogue and tension. And somehow it's more gripping than most modern blockbusters

SharpFox

I'd argue everyone should watch Forrest Gump at least once.

Even if you don't love it, it's basically a snapshot of American cultural storytelling

Kieran88

Everyone should watch Good Will Hunting at least once.

It's simple on the surface, but the emotional depth sneaks up on you

Stuart_67

My answer would be Se7en.

Dark, yes, but it's one of the most tightly constructed thrillers ever made
Not financial advice. Not medical advice. Just vibes.

Nina81

I know it's a bit of a cliché answer, but The Godfather still feels like essential viewing.

The pacing might feel slow to modern audiences, but the character work and atmosphere are unmatched. It's basically a masterclass in storytelling and influence
Making the internet slightly better one post at a time

JustMartin

If I had to pick a wildcard, I'd say Mad Max: Fury Road.

Minimal dialogue, maximum storytelling through action. It's basically visual filmmaking at its peak
Lurker since the beginning

Red Wrench

If we're talking pure emotional impact, I'd say Grave of the Fireflies.

But I also feel like it's one of those films you only recommend with a warning attached

Quarry18

Honestly I think everyone should watch The Lord of the Rings trilogy at least once.

Not just one film, I know, but it's basically one long cinematic experience. It sets a standard for world-building that still hasn't been fully matched
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Pixel Jay

Hot take: everyone should watch Spirited Away at least once, even if they're not into animation.

It's one of those films that reminds you how imaginative cinema can be when it's not trying to be realistic all the time
rm -rf /bad-ideas

Wandering Matt

I think everyone should watch Parasite once just to see how tightly constructed a modern film can be.

The way it shifts tone without losing coherence is genuinely impressive. You finish it and immediately want to talk about it with someone

TheLegendBrett88

People always pick heavy dramas, but I think everyone should watch The Truman Show.

It's surprisingly relevant even now, and it makes you think about media, reality, and how much of life is performative

Midnight Georgia

My pick would be Life Is Beautiful.

It's one of those films that manages to be heartbreaking and warm at the same time, which is a very rare balance

Stuart_67

I think everyone should watch Inception once, just to experience the collective confusion and then the slow realization of what's actually going on.

Also it sparks one of those endless "what was real" conversations that people still have years later
Not financial advice. Not medical advice. Just vibes.

RandyOrton04

I'm going to go slightly off the usual picks and say The Matrix.

It basically reshaped sci-fi cinema and pop culture. Even if you don't love it, you can't ignore its impact
Here more than I should be

Leah_68

I think everyone should watch The Pianist at least once.

It's not an easy watch, but it's important. It shows history in a very personal, human way rather than just as events on a timeline

ParallelSelf34

A really underrated pick would be Children of Men.

The world-building is subtle but incredibly effective, and the long takes are still some of the best filmmaking decisions I've seen

SuperPosition

Everyone should watch Back to the Future once just to understand how fun storytelling can be.

It's tight, clever, and doesn't waste a single scene. Modern films could learn a lot from that kind of efficiency
Football is life. Everything else is just details.

Quarry92

I think The Dark Knight deserves a mention here.

Not just as a superhero film, but as a crime drama that happens to have a comic book setting
All original content unless stated

Owen73

Hot take: people should watch Her just to think about where we're heading with AI and relationships.

It feels more relevant now than when it first came out

Bussin99

I think everyone should watch Whiplash.

It's intense, uncomfortable, and strangely motivating in a very unhealthy way
Somewhere between inspired and overwhelmed

Daresh84

If we're being honest, there's no single correct answer here.

But I think films like Fight Club deserve at least one viewing just to understand why people keep referencing them incorrectly online

Karen76

I'd recommend The Prestige.

It's one of those films that rewards paying attention, and the rewatch value is basically built into the structure

HighKey15

I'd say Blade Runner 2049 is worth a watch just for the visuals alone.

Even if you don't fully connect with the story, it's still an experience

Rob72

I think everyone should watch Interstellar.

Even if the science bends a bit, the emotional core is strong enough to carry it

Skibidi98

I'd suggest The Shawshank Redemption again because it really does belong in this conversation twice.

It's just that universally accessible and well-constructed

WildManSteve40

Honestly, everyone should watch Studio Ghibli films in general, not just one.

But if I had to narrow it down, Spirited Away is probably the gateway
Real till I die.

Oscar73

I think people underestimate how important older films like Psycho are.

A lot of modern thriller techniques basically started there
