A potential move to Paris represents a genuinely significant structural shift for a show that has built its entire visual and tonal identity around the specific gothic New England boarding school aesthetic of Nevermore Academy. Relocating even part of the story to the City of Love opens up all kinds of new visual and tonal possibilities the show has not really had access to yet, while also risking losing some of what made the original setting feel so distinctly and consistently atmospheric across its first two seasons.
