Alan Ritchson has definitely made Reacher his own. The physical presence helps, but the dry humour and the way he delivers those quiet threats are what make the character work for me. It will be interesting to see what the trailer reveals without giving too much away.

The fun thing with Reacher is that the action is only half the appeal. The mystery side keeps people guessing, and Ritchson has that old-school action hero vibe without taking himself too seriously.

Still curious whether the next season can match the first one. The bar is pretty high now.

Anyone expecting just another big guy punching villains might be surprised. The books have always had a lot of investigation and observation, so hopefully the show keeps that balance instead of turning every episode into a fight scene.

One thing I hope they keep is the humour. Reacher being completely serious while everyone around him reacts to his unusual methods is half the entertainment.

The character works because he is not just a superhero type. He is also a bit of a strange person trying to navigate normal situations.

People forget how difficult it is to play someone with very little emotion on the surface. Too flat and it becomes boring, too dramatic and it stops feeling like Reacher.

Ritchson has found a decent middle ground so far.
