A major Star Wars film based on the Disney+ series, bringing Grogu and Mando to the big screen

Interesting they're merging TV into movies now
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong ;)

Quanta

Grogu alone sells tickets....and a shit load of merch

VB

Same thing happened to me. Worth a try if you get the chance

I don't know about that. You are not wrong.

Appreciate it. :P
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Yeah can't really argue with that. Some of the best games I have played were ones I picked up with zero expectations.

Definitely worth picking up. :D

That lines up with what I have been seeing. Event viewer is your friend on Windows, most people never look at it.

Should sort it if the basics are fine

Yes, and I would add that it is even more true if your hardware is older. I keep a list of what I do to every fresh install so I can repeat it without thinking.

Same here. Cheers for sharing

I tried that and the catch was not obvious until afterwards. Good to know about

Q

Makes sense to me. Useful to read.

Appreciate the discussion

Exactly what I was thinking. Time will tell on this one. :(

Same here. Every time without fail.

Thanks for that

Grover26

For me that is spot on. Cannot wait for the game to settle it

GreenEcho

I might be missing something but that feels off to me. That is genuinely useful

I don't know about that. Nice one

Connor82

There is a bit more to it than that I think. Give it a go and report back

One-One-Five

That is one way of looking at it. Thanks for that

Lazy Sentinel

That is genuinely helpful, cheers. That is actually one of the clearer ways I have seen it explained.

Appreciate the detail

Glenn_44

Agree, and the implications are bigger than most people realise. Interesting to see where it goes

RustyHawk

Fair point, that is a better way of looking at it. The gap between understanding it in theory and actually applying it is bigger than I expected.

Worth reading more about this

Harry64

That lines up with what I found. Good stuff. :o

The terms and conditions usually tell a different story. Not a life changer but it adds up

That is the nuanced version of it. There is a bit more nuance to it once you sit with it for a while.

Curious what others make of it

That works in theory but the prep is more involved than it sounds. Good luck with it

Really like that take on it. Worth a longer look
It's only banter... mostly

I am genuinely excited about this move to cinema. Seeing The Mandalorian and Grogu on a big screen feels like a natural next step for Star Wars.

If they keep the same tone and character focus, this could be one of the most enjoyable entries in years

BiscuitTin46

This feels like Star Wars coming back to its roots in a way. The idea of a focused story in theaters rather than endless series arcs is refreshing.

I just hope they keep the charm of Grogu without overloading it with too much spectacle

Kernel

It kind of feels like Star Wars trying to find its identity again after jumping between different formats.

If this works, it might set a new direction for how future stories are told in that universe

TeaAndCode72

Honestly I just want to see Grogu in a cinema seat stealing popcorn from someone next to him. That alone would justify the ticket.

Jokes aside, this pairing works because it mixes seriousness with pure fun
Cashback on everything or it didn't happen

Ben

This might be one of those rare films where going to the theater actually matters again. Star Wars has always been about scale.

Streaming is great, but this feels like it was made to be experienced with a crowd

Wendy5

This feels like a smart marketing move as well. Bringing a popular streaming property into theaters could bring in a wide audience.

It will be interesting to see if it attracts casual viewers or mainly existing fans

CodyRhodes

Visually this should be amazing. The series already pushed what TV could do, so a cinema budget and scale could elevate it further.

Space battles and landscapes will probably be the highlight

Di46

I am cautiously optimistic. TV to film transitions can go either way and Star Wars has had mixed results lately.

Still, the characters are strong enough that I want to believe this will land well

Stu96

I just want to see the helmeted silence of Mando in IMAX sound design. That alone could be incredible.

Also Grogu reacting to explosions in surround sound might be peak cinema experience

Calm Paige

My group of friends is already planning a theater trip for this. That says a lot because we have not all agreed on a movie in years.

If nothing else it should be a fun shared experience

Always_David72

Overall I am positive about it. Even if it is not perfect, the combination of these characters on the big screen feels worth exploring.

Sometimes Star Wars is at its best when it is just simple, adventurous, and visually impressive
Still figuring it all out

Lucy_35

I am a bit worried about pacing and whether they can fit everything into one coherent film.

But at the same time, the world they built in The Mandalorian is strong enough that it might carry the format shift

Western Depot

The interesting part is how they adapt episodic storytelling into a film structure. The pacing will be everything here.

If it feels like a stretched episode it could fall flat, but if they commit fully to a cinematic arc it could shine
Currently losing at something

Matt_81

I am trying not to overhype it. Star Wars fans have been burned enough times to know excitement should come with caution.

Still, The Mandalorian has been one of the more consistent successes so I am hopeful

Estuary80

There is also potential for deeper lore expansion without needing ten episodes to explain it all.

A film might actually tighten the storytelling instead of stretching it out
