House of the Dragon Season 3 Preview - Expectations After Season 2

House of the Dragon Season 3 arrives on HBO Max on 21 June and the Dance of the Dragons is properly underway. Rhaenyra is defending her crown, the dragonriders on both sides are in open conflict, and the show has established enough chess pieces that Season 3 can presumably pay off what the first two seasons have been setting up.

Season 2 divided people on pacing and on the decision not to show certain battles onscreen. What are you hoping to see, and has Season 2 left you genuinely excited or cautiously interested?
