Death Stranding Isolations anime gets its first trailer ahead of a 2027 debut

The Death Stranding anime is finally showing itself. Push Square reports that Kojima Productions and Disney+ have released the first teaser trailer for Death Stranding Isolations, almost a year after the series was announced

The trailer's tagline is My mom became a crater. The series is set just after Sam Bridges connects North America to the Chiral Network in the first game, and those renewed connections bring new trouble

The synopsis introduces a wise old man who connects people in a way that defies all reckoning, a female soldier caught in a cycle of conflict, a boy angry at the absurdity of his life, and a girl who has cut herself off from the outside world

Hideo Kojima is executive producer, Takayuki Sano directs, and E&H Production, the studio behind Ninja Kamui, is handling the animation. Sano said entertainment can enhance the spirituality of those who consume it, and that he felt an exceptionally strong sense of duty and responsibility. The series will stream on Disney+ in 2027, separate from A24's live action film and the anime film Death Stranding Mosquito

Death Stranding's strange, lonely world seems well suited to anime. An anthology of characters coping with isolation fits the games' themes perfectly. With three different adaptations in development, Kojima's universe is expanding fast
