If "Avengers 5" is really building toward something called Doomsday, they better go all in on stakes this time. No more fake-outs where everything resets at the end.

Give us consequences, proper consequences, and I'll be happy. Even if it gets messy, I'd rather that than safe storytelling

If nothing else, this is going to dominate discussion for months. Marvel knows how to keep itself in the conversation.

Whether that translates to a good film or not, we'll find out soon enough
VAR can do one

I just hope they don't rely too heavily on multiverse cameos again. At some point it starts to feel like fan service roulette instead of a real story.

That said, if they use it to actually raise stakes in "Doomsday", it could work brilliantly

If they actually stick the landing on "Doomsday" this could be one of those MCU phases people talk about for years. I just hope they don't overstuff it like some of the recent films.

The tease alone already feels bigger than most trailers these days, so I'm cautiously hyped but trying not to get carried away

Not gonna lie, I miss the days when we went into these films with less info. Now we basically have breakdowns of teasers before the teaser even drops properly.

Still, I'm in. Even when Marvel stumbles, it usually delivers at least a couple of moments that feel worth the ticket

I'm just here for the crossover chaos at this point. Marvel assembling everyone again is like a big budget group chat argument waiting to happen.

Also, if Deadpool shows up in any form, the tone is going to implode in the best possible way

People are sleeping on how hard it is to balance this many characters. If they manage it, "Doomsday" could actually be a miracle of structure more than spectacle.

But yeah, that's a big "if". We've seen both sides of that coin recently

I wonder if they're going to finally commit to a proper villain arc this time instead of teasing one for three films and then rushing the payoff.

If they nail that, it could elevate the whole phase massively

The funniest part is watching everyone act surprised when Marvel starts teasing something huge again. Like, of course they are, that's the whole machine.

And honestly, I'm not mad at it. It's part of the ritual at this point

If they bring in some lesser-used characters and actually give them something to do, "Doomsday" could feel fresh again.

Otherwise it's just going to be the same core group saving the day with different lighting

I actually like that they're teasing it early. At least it feels like there's a plan again instead of random standalone films.

Even if the plan changes halfway through, the illusion of structure helps a lot

If this ends up being half as chaotic as people are predicting, it might actually be fun just for the sheer unpredictability.

Sometimes controlled chaos is exactly what these big crossover films need
