An unusual film is leading the American box office. Awards Radar reports that the A24 documentary You Can See Everything took first place for the weekend with $10.6 million, down 43 percent in its third weekend

Its global total has reached $63.8 million, and A24 is reportedly aiming for $90 to $100 million

DC's Clayface came second with $10.4 million, down 57 percent. Its global total of $83 million makes it the highest grossing body horror film, overtaking The Substance, and Awards Radar called it a major win for DC, no matter what the internet wants you to believe

The rest of the top five were LAIKA's Wildwood with $7.4 million, Wicker with $4.1 million and Street Fighter with $3.2 million, down 63 percent. A live viewing of BTS's Arirang concert in São Paulo took $2.8 million, and The Only Living Pickpocket in New York jumped 1,284 percent as it expanded to more cinemas

A documentary topping the box office for multiple weekends is rare and shows audiences will turn up for something different. Clayface's success suggests DC's riskier choices are paying off. It is an interesting time for cinema, with smaller films holding their own

Have you seen any of these films? And are documentaries becoming more popular in cinemas?
