Every TV era gets its own retrospective eventually, the golden age shows people still reference constantly, and the forgettable ones nobody quite remembers existed at all despite being genuinely huge at the time

Ten years from now, looking back at the current wave of streaming original shows, which category does this specific stretch fall into, a genuinely golden creative period, or an oversaturated blur that mostly gets forgotten

Curious what people think, does quantity right now come at the cost of anything actually being remembered later

DeepPilot

Oversaturated blur mostly, though a handful of shows will genuinely survive and define the whole era
Forum veteran. Battle hardened.

BretHart_99

Forgettable as a whole, but a few specific shows will get talked about the way we now talk about past classics

Henry10

Golden period honestly, there's more genuinely ambitious storytelling happening now than people give it credit for
Here more than I should be

Quantity is definitely costing memorability, nobody can even keep track of everything releasing right now

Depends entirely which platform you're talking about, some are clearly building a legacy and some aren't

EarlyBird

Curious whether cancellation culture specifically makes this era harder to remember fondly than past ones
