Here is a new weekly thread for quick tech questions. Not every problem needs its own topic, and sometimes a simple question gets lost in a busy forum. So if your printer has stopped printing, your phone will not charge, your Wi-Fi keeps dropping or your laptop is making a strange noise, post it here. Someone may well have seen it before

To help others help you, please include a few details. Tell us what device or software you are using, what you have already tried and any error messages you see. Screenshots are very useful, but remember to hide any personal information like email addresses or serial numbers. The more detail you give, the faster someone can spot the problem

Anyone can answer, whether you are an expert or just had the same problem last month. Please be patient with beginners, since everyone starts somewhere. If a suggestion fixes your problem, let us know, so others with the same issue can find the answer

I will start with one of my own. My laptop's Wi-Fi drops every time it wakes from sleep, and I have to turn Wi-Fi off and on again to reconnect. It is a Windows 11 machine about three years old, and the problem started after an update. I have tried restarting the router and updating the driver from the manufacturer's website

What tech problem can we help you with this week?
