Picked myself up a new fitness tracker recently:

Fitbit Inspire 3 Activity Tracker with 6-month Premium Membership

So far, pretty impressed with it.

It's lightweight, battery seems to last ages (haven't charged it yet since setting it up), and the basics like steps, sleep tracking and heart rate all seem solid. ()

The Fitbit app itself is actually better than I expected as well. Everything's in one place and easy enough to navigate.

But one thing I can't figure out...

Does Fitbit actually support widgets on iOS?

I was hoping to have something on my iPhone home screen showing steps or activity progress without opening the app every time, but I can't seem to find anything.

Am I missing something obvious or is this just not a feature?

Feels like a bit of a gap considering how useful widgets are for quick info.

If anyone's using this on iPhone and has a workaround or knows if widgets are planned, would be good to know.

I'll drop a pic of my setup below as well.

Yeah I ran into the same thing.

As far as I know, Fitbit still doesn't support proper iOS home screen widgets for stats like steps or heart rate.

You can get notifications and all that, but not a live widget like Apple Fitness has.

Kind of annoying because it feels like an obvious feature.

You're not missing anything.

Fitbit app on iOS is decent, but widgets are pretty limited compared to Android.

Best you can do right now is just open the app or rely on notifications.

I ended up just checking it a couple times a day instead.

This is one of the reasons some people switch to Apple Watch.

Apple's ecosystem is just better integrated with widgets and health data on iPhone.

Fitbit is still catching up in that area.
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong ;)

There is something right about that. I find the most honest reactions come out a while after the initial response settles.

Really good thread this.

Yes, and I would add that it is even more true if your hardware is older. Should sort it if the basics are fine.
