Wu Yize beat Yuan Sijun 10-5 to win the Shenzhen Open, SnookerHQ reports. It is the 22 year old's third ranking title. He won the International Championship last November and the World Championship in May. The win takes him to a career high of world number two

The final was not straightforward. Wu trailed 4-3 after losing three frames in a row. He levelled in the eighth frame, led 5-4 after the first session and was not caught after that. He said the turning point was probably the eighth frame

Wu said afterwards that he felt a little more composed than in his previous two title wins. He also made an honest admission about the World Championship. He said the pressure there had become so great that maybe he forgot how to enjoy the game. It is a reminder that even champions find the Crucible a strain

He was generous about his opponent too. Wu praised Yuan and predicted that he will win a title of his own. Yuan has been knocking on the door for a while. Reaching a ranking final on home soil will do his confidence good

Next up for Wu is Scott Donaldson at the Northern Ireland Open. If he wins that event, he becomes world number one. That would be remarkable for a 22 year old who only won his first ranking title last year. Chinese snooker's golden generation keeps delivering

Can Wu Yize become world number one in Belfast? And is he the player to dominate the next decade?
