Norway finished top of the medal table again, continuing their dominance in winter sports, while several countries achieved historic first medals.

Oh well as fast as it came, its over already. Shame
It's not a bug, it's a feature

QuantumKnight

Some countries just dominate certain sports completely.

Norway in winter sports is ridiculous

Measure twice, post once

MrRicardo

From what I saw that checks out. The speed of the news cycle means most things get forgotten before they are properly resolved.

Worth watching closely

EntangledOne

Bit fiddly but that is the right approach. Turned out alright when I did it

Vanessa26

That is pretty much what I took from it too. The speed of the news cycle means most things get forgotten before they are properly resolved.

Curious to see how this develops.

Momentum is real and it is the thing that is hardest to quantify

GlassKnight89

Been following this thread and that seems right. Appreciate the discussion. :D

Seems like it from what I have seen. Context gets lost very quickly once something becomes a trending topic.

Interesting to see where it goes.

Management decisions in big games are where titles are won and lost
git commit -m "fixed everything"

QuoteHard to see that changing anytime soon.

Agree, and the implications are bigger than most people realise. Worth watching closely.

Home advantage is still massive despite what people say

Tracey

I am always wary when something sounds amazing at first glance. Cheers for sharing that. >:(

Same thing happened to me. Can't really go wrong with it.

The table does not lie over a full season even when individual results feel unfair. :o

Candle

No real argument from me on that. Still think I am right on this.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Neil57

Exactly what I found. Some of the best games I have played were ones I picked up with zero expectations.

Might go back to it

Totally

I don't know about that. Nice one.

Injuries change the whole calculation and people do not factor them in enough. :-[

Completely agree, and it is frustrating that this is not more widely known. I keep a list of what I do to every fresh install so I can repeat it without thinking.

That is how I would approach it anyway.

The difference between the top sides at this level is smaller than the league table makes it look. ;)

MrRicardo

That is pretty much what I took from it too. From what I have seen the gap between headlines and reality is still pretty wide.

Interesting to see where it goes

Connor82

I would push back on that slightly. When I ran into something similar the biggest improvement came from stripping things back and checking the obvious basics first.

Post back with what you find and we can go from there.

I am not sure the surface reading is the most interesting one here. I find the most honest reactions come out a while after the initial response settles.

I find these conversations more useful than reading reviews
RTFM and then ask

I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong ;)

That is worth it, agreed. Not a life changer but it adds up
Football is life. Everything else is just details.

That is my view too if I am being straight. Still think I am right on this.

Norway topping the medal table again almost feels like a yearly tradition at this point

You start the Winter Olympics thinking maybe someone will challenge them, then by the end they are just casually stacking medals like it is routine

Still impressive consistency though, even if it feels predictable
My team is always one signing away

GoldbergFan86

At some point you have to respect how well Norway builds for winter sports across the board

It is not just one or two standout athletes, it is depth across multiple disciplines

Other countries get flashes of brilliance, but Norway just shows up everywhere
