Wimbledon starts 29 June and for once the men's draw looks genuinely open. Jannik Sinner won in 2025 and arrives as defending champion but grass is historically not his strongest surface. Carlos Alcaraz has the all-court game to be dangerous anywhere. On the women's side Iga Swiatek was the 2025 champion and is the player everyone has to beat on every surface right now.

Who do you think wins both draws, and is there anyone lurking in the seeds who could cause a major upset before the second week?

Alcaraz on grass is terrifying because of the serve-and-volley instinct he has developed. He is not a natural grass courter but he adapts quickly and Wimbledon specifically seems to suit him

Sinner defending on grass is the tough ask. His baseline style is better suited to hard courts
