Watched a kid at a local youth tournament years ago who made the whole game look like it was running in slow motion for him and nobody else, still think about it occasionally even though I have no idea what happened to him afterward

Not asking about stats or trophies necessarily, more the person who just moved differently than everyone else on the field or court in a way that was obvious even to a casual observer

Saw a college player years before they went pro and it was obvious even then, the gap between them and everyone else on the court wasn't subtle at all

Honestly my own brother, never went anywhere with it competitively but the natural coordination was completely unfair compared to the rest of us growing up

Nah, has to be a pro I watched live once, the way they read the game a full second ahead of everyone else on the field was almost eerie to witness

Weirdly it was a local tennis coach I took lessons from as a kid, watching him casually rally was more impressive than most televised matches I've seen since
Real till I die.

Oh easily a certain pro I got to watch warm up once, the effortlessness of it up close was completely different from how it reads on television

DarkMatter23

Same experience actually, a youth athlete at a tournament who clearly had something the rest of the field just didn't, no idea what became of them
git commit -m "fixed everything"

Hard to pick just one honestly, but a certain Olympic athlete I saw compete live moved in a way that didn't look human
