Which retired athlete do you wish had played even just a couple more years

[NoLimitsBen18]

There's always that player who retired at what felt like genuinely the wrong moment, still performing at a high level but just done for personal reasons

Curious who people's own pick is here, the athlete whose actual final season felt too early relative to the level they were still clearly playing at

[Maya98]

A certain player retired at what felt like a premature moment given how well they were still performing, always wondered what one or two more years could have added

[Nina_20]

Honestly a completely different sport's athlete for me, retired abruptly for personal reasons and the sport felt smaller without them almost immediately

[DeepCourier]

Yeah similar situation, a player whose skills clearly hadn't declined at all yet stepped away and it felt too soon for everyone watching

[Keira85]

Same feeling here, a certain athlete's final season still looked elite and the retirement felt driven by circumstances rather than any actual decline

[Odd Maverick]

Nah mine actually retired at exactly the right moment in hindsight, but I still wish selfishly they'd stuck around even knowing it was the smart call for them personally

[Chris27]

Weirdly it's someone who came back briefly after retiring and that comeback just confirmed they'd left at the wrong time

Usain Bolt

[NightOwl94]

Mine's an athlete from an individual sport who retired due to injury risk, completely understand the decision but still wonder what a healthy couple extra years could have looked like
