Great commentary can turn a sporting moment into something unforgettable. Some calls are so perfectly timed that they become part of the event itself, and we cannot replay the moment in our heads without hearing the words. Many of us can recite famous lines decades after hearing them. They are part of our shared sporting memory

There are some classics. Kenneth Wolstenholme's they think it's all over, Martin Tyler's Aguero moment and Sid Waddell's poetic darts lines are all famous. Murray Walker's excited F1 commentary still makes fans smile. Cricket has its own gems from Richie Benaud, while boxing and rugby have plenty of iconic calls too

Some calls are remembered because they captured pure emotion. Others are famous for being funny, strange or just a little bit wrong. Murray Walker was famous for his mistakes, but fans loved him for them. Commentators who sound like real fans often become the most beloved. Mistakes can be as memorable as the great calls

Modern commentary has changed, with more analysis and data. Some people miss the old style, while others think today's commentators are more informed. Either way, great calls still happen

Which commentator's call stays in your head? Tell us the moment and the words, as best you remember them
