What is the best live sporting event you have ever attended?

Watching sport on TV is great, but nothing beats being there in person. The noise, the atmosphere and the feeling of sharing a moment with thousands of strangers make it something special. Sometimes the occasion matters more than the result. Other times you witness something historic and remember it for the rest of your life

I would love to hear your best live sporting memory. It could be a cup final, a test match, a darts night at Ally Pally, a Grand Prix, a title fight or a local game that turned into something unforgettable. Big events and small ones both count, as long as the memory stuck

My own favourite is a lower league football match on a freezing night, where my team came back from three goals down in the last twenty minutes. Only a few thousand people were there, but the noise when the winner went in was incredible. Strangers were hugging each other. I still remember exactly where I was standing

It is also interesting how the experience of attending has changed. Ticket prices have shot up for many events, and some fans feel priced out. Phones mean many people watch big moments through their screens. But the best moments still seem to happen when you are fully in the crowd. Being there in person changes everything
