Spain needed a response after drawing 0-0 with Cape Verde in what was described at the time as one of the biggest shocks of the tournament. They got one. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring at ten minutes. Oyarzabal added a brace. Four goals, clean sheet, professional job. Saudi Arabia were the opponents and they had no answer. Spain look like the team everyone thought they were before Vozinha happened to them. Yamal is genuinely frightening. Oyarzabal was clinical. The front line worked. This is more like the Spain that could genuinely win this tournament. Cape Verde meanwhile are still alive in the group and still have their goalkeeper who is now internationally famous.
