NBA Finals 2026: Knicks wait for opponent as OKC and Spurs series goes to Game 7

The New York Knicks have already secured their place in the 2026 NBA Finals after an impressive playoff run and are waiting to find out who they will face. The Western Conference Finals between Oklahoma City and San Antonio went to a deciding Game 7, which according to the schedule should be resolving around now. The Finals begin June 3rd and could run to Game 7 on June 19th if it reaches that point.

The Knicks making the Finals is the kind of story the league loves and the fanbase has been waiting for a long time. Madison Square Garden energy in a Finals run is one of the most distinctive atmospheres in basketball. Their path through the East was difficult enough to suggest this is not a team fluking their way through.

OKC making a Finals would be a remarkable story of their own given their rebuilding arc over the last few seasons. San Antonio making it would be the kind of low-seed deep run that the NBA playoffs throw up every few years. Either way the Knicks will face a dangerous opponent.
