Katie Taylor plans retirement after farewell fight in Dublin

Katie Taylor said she wants one final fight in Dublin before retiring, ideally at Croke Park. It feels like the right ending if it happens there, because her whole career has been about lifting women's boxing in Ireland and beyond. The only real question now is who gets the final dance.
It's not a bug, it's a feature

Croke Park would be the perfect finish if they can get it over the line.

Would be a shame if she ends up having the last one somewhere else after everything she's done.

Interesting, I had the opposite experience. Cheers. ::)

That is pretty much what I took from it too. Worth watching closely.

Momentum is real and it is the thing that is hardest to quantify. >:(

That is the practical answer rather than the theoretical one. Give it a go and report back.

The squad depth is what separates the top sides in the run-in. :)

Makes sense to me. I have been wondering the same thing.

Thanks for the thread.

Form matters but the head to head record at this level matters just as much.

That is the sensible approach. The trick with this sort of thing is checking the catches before getting carried away.

Every bit helps at the moment.

That matches what the more reliable sources are saying. Most people form opinions on things like this before the full picture is available.

I will update this thread if anything significant changes.

Home advantage is still massive despite what people say.

Cannot really disagree with that. I have started just watching twenty minutes of gameplay before buying anything.

Might go back to it.
