Jannik Sinner defended his Wimbledon title, coming from a set down to beat Alexander Zverev 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 in three hours and 46 minutes at Centre Court. It is Sinner's fifth grand slam title and his second straight Wimbledon crown, and he has now won 10 straight matches against Zverev

Zverev actually snatched the first set tiebreak 9-7, and for a stretch it looked like he might finally break his poor head to head record against the Italian. Sinner steadied things by taking the second set tiebreak before pulling away over the final two sets, extending his streak of consecutive service holds against Zverev to 84 games along the way, including a 23 shot rally on match point before he closed it out with a winning forehand

On the women's side, 21 year old Linda Noskova beat fellow Czech Karolina Muchova 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 on Saturday to win her first grand slam title, making her the tenth consecutive different women's champion at Wimbledon and the youngest British winner since Petra Kvitova in 2011. Noskova had to get past four seeded players including Madison Keys and Marta Kostyuk just to reach the final

Total prize money for this year's Championships hit a record 64.2 million pounds, a 20 percent jump from last year, with both singles champions taking home 3.6 million pounds each. Between Sinner's continued dominance over Zverev specifically and Noskova's surprise breakthrough, this year's tournament delivered genuinely compelling stories on both sides of the draw
