Eddie Hearn mocks Dana White after Shakur Stevenson leaves Zuffa Boxing

[NoMercyMatthew89]

Eddie Hearn could not resist a dig at Dana White. Sherdog's Sayan Nag reports that the Matchroom chairman told iFL TV he first thought Shakur Stevenson's exit from Zuffa Boxing was a publicity stunt

Stevenson signed with White's boxing promotion in July and left without fighting for it. Hearn said he did not think that had ever happened in the history of boxing, joking that Zuffa had made history by signing a fighter and never giving him a fight

Hearn also disputed White's role in the Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua fight on 11 December at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. White has said he will help produce the broadcast, but Hearn says the contract does not allow that without an agreed change

The rivalry between Hearn and White has been simmering since Zuffa moved into boxing. Both are big personalities who love to talk, and the Fury and Joshua fight gives them plenty to argue about

Stevenson leaving without a fight is an embarrassing start for Zuffa Boxing, whatever the reasons. Hearn will enjoy every moment of it. The promotional battles in boxing are almost as entertaining as the fights

Is Zuffa Boxing struggling to find its feet? And who will control the Fury and Joshua broadcast?
