Current

The European Championship starts in Dortmund on Thursday, and it is the one major Luke Littler has not yet won. DartsNews' Ben James has previewed the tournament from the perspective of the English players, and the big question is whether anyone can stop Littler completing the set

Littler is seeded 11th and averages 101.33 over the last 12 months. He opens against William O'Connor. He was beaten by Luke Woodhouse at the World Grand Prix, so he will be keen to bounce back

There are some tough draws nearby. Nathan Aspinall, seeded 6th and averaging 96.05, faces Cristo Reyes, and the winner will probably meet Littler. Rob Cross takes on Gerwyn Price, who beat him 11-5 at the World Matchplay, and Chris Dobey meets Josh Rock in another strong first round tie

Ryan Joyce plays Dirk Wattimena, and Stephen Bunting faces Danny Noppert, with the winner likely to meet Luke Humphries or Ryan Searle. It is a stacked field, and short formats in the early rounds mean upsets are always possible

Littler winning every major before his 20th birthday would be a remarkable achievement. Few would bet against him, but the European Championship has produced plenty of surprises before. It should be a cracking few days

Will Littler complete his set of majors in Dortmund? And who is the biggest threat to him?

Bunting against Noppert is tough after Noppert's run in Maastricht. Losing a final hurts, but his form is excellent. Major finals have been kind to Noppert lately, despite the losses. He is due a big win

Belief like that can carry a player a long way. Finals are about nerve as much as skill
My finishing move is closing the laptop & walking away
