Arsenal have suffered an unusual double injury blow. Football365 reports that Martín Zubimendi and Piero Hincapié were both hurt in a post match warm down after Arsenal's 2-1 comeback win over Leeds. They were taking part in a planned session for players who had played fewer minutes

Mikel Arteta described the injuries as two very unfortunate actions and said Arsenal had lost two players. He said they would be assessed and scanned before there is any timeframe for their return. He added that nothing like this had happened in his seven years at the club

Arteta also showed some humour about it. He said that if he had a crystal ball, he would have told the players to get in the Jacuzzi and see him tomorrow. It is a light moment in what must be a frustrating situation

Arsenal host Lille in the Champions League group phase on Tuesday, so the timing is not ideal. Zubimendi has become a key part of the midfield, and Hincapié adds depth and versatility in defence. Losing both even for a short time will test the squad

There is better news too. William Saliba is back training on grass and managing his workload, and Arteta hopes to bring him into full team training within the next few weeks. With a strong squad and a good start to the season, Arsenal should be able to cope

How big a loss is Zubimendi if he is out for a while? And have you ever heard of injuries happening in a warm down like this?

Lille are no pushovers. Losing two players just before a Champions League match adds pressure. The squad rotation will be interesting to watch on Tuesday. Young players might get a chance

Arsenal's depth is much better than a few years ago. They can absorb a couple of injuries now. That is a sign of how far the club has come under Arteta

Recruitment has been smart. Even the backup players are international class

Coming back from behind against Leeds was impressive, though. Character wins matches in tight seasons. Losing two players afterwards takes some of the shine off

Still, three points are three points. Late goals have become a habit this season. Good habits win titles

Saliba coming back is a big boost. He is one of the best defenders in the world when fit. Having him back in a few weeks would cover for Hincapié nicely. Timing could hardly be better
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Zubimendi is the bigger loss. He has controlled games for Arsenal this season

Finding someone to do that job in the Champions League will be tough. Hopefully the scans are good news

Declan Rice can cover, but that weakens another area. Squad balance gets tricky
