Alice asked the qubit where it was, and the qubit said that was a rude question. She tried again, asking whether it was a one or a zero, but the qubit only smiled and told her she would ruin the conversation by checking too early. By the end of the afternoon Alice had learned very little about certainty, quite a lot about probability, and enough humility to stop calling quantum computing magic.

This is a fun way to explain the basics without turning it into a textbook.

The rude question line made me laugh. It gives the qubit a proper personality.

I would use this as a gentle intro piece before the heavier quantum topics.

The ending is good because it nudges people away from magic without mocking beginners.
