The idea of an extremely short story, sometimes as brief as the famously attributed six word tale about never worn baby shoes for sale, proves that genuine emotional impact does not actually require length or elaborate world building at all, sometimes a single carefully chosen sentence or a tiny handful of words can suggest an entire tragedy or triumph that a reader's own imagination fills in far more powerfully than any lengthy explanation ever could.

Writing genuinely well within that kind of extreme constraint is its own difficult skill, since every single word has to work incredibly hard with absolutely no room for filler, explanation or slow build up of any kind.
